Kaleidoscope

Hi everyone today we will be working on a super bright and colorful look! With all of the trends of Neons and bright colors for this summer this is a look definitely for the daring fashionista

To complete this look we will need the 168 Pro Palette and the amazing Sedona Lace Makeup Brushes.

Lets begin by grabbing a purple eyeliner and cutting the crease as a guideline:

Next we want to use a white eyeshadow primer on the entire lid keeping it below the purple line we marked.

Now we want to use this matte yellow shade in the inner 1/3 of the eye lid like so :

Next we want to use this matte orange shade on the entire center of the lid

Now a neat trick to do using EB09 is to swipe one side of the brush with the orange, and the other side with the yellow. To blend these 2 colors together go back in forth between the both sides of the brush. So go over the line with yellow, then orange until you get a blend.

Now we will use this bright matte pink shade on the outer 1/3 of the lid.

Now we want to do the same blending so with the same brush one side will have the orange one side the pink. Go back and forth between the 2 blending them seamlessly.

Now we want to use this rasberry shade and go above the crease and blend up to the brow bone.

We want to define the crease a little bit more with the purple so now using this matte purple shade we want to blend it in with the rasberry color we used.

We will use a combination of these 3 shades green, light blue, and dark blue on the lower lash line like so:

Now we want to line the upper lash line with Blackout eyeliner gel and apply that to your waterline as well.

Add some dramatic False lashes and we are set!

Grab the 28 Blush Palette and use a warm rosy shade for the cheeks!

Summer Bronze

Happy Memorial Day weekend, I hope you are enjoying your day and thanking those who've fought for our freedom.  Today, I would like to show you a look I did for my beautiful model that she wore on a date she had that evening.   The model is 16 years old, so this look, I feel, is appropriate for a date at her age.  She wanted a bronzey, and very shimmery look, so I knew the 88 Ultra Shimmer palette would be perfect to give her the look she wanted; so I grabbed my favorite brushes by Sedona Lace and gave her this look.

I started by lining her eyes slightly and adding two coats of mascara to define the eyes before I began with shadows. If you add your liner, pencil or gel before the shadows it becomes just for definition and not a big part of the look.  Then, I used a gorgeous champagne, shimmer all over the lid using the #941 brush.

With a mid tone bronze I shaded in the crease color using the EB 09.

For real definition and dimension, I used my favorite crease brush, the EB 15 (my number 1 recommendation for a crease brush!) and a very dark bronze and filled in the outer V of her eye, also, blending under the lower lash line.

The last color I used was a shimmery white, as a highlight on her brow bone.  I used the amazingly versatile EB 13.  I, also, used a clean EB 13 to conceal under her eyes, this brush is a must have for your collection. She was ready to roll and this look only took about 8 minutes to complete.

I hope you enjoyed this look and check back for more looks and reviews featuring Sedona Lace!

A Look at the 88 Ultra Shimmer palette

Hi everyone!! It's 1/2 way through the week, and what I hope will be a 3 day weekend for you.  Today I thought we would take a closer look at the 88 Ultra Shimmer palette available from Sedona Lace for only $19.95, which makes each shadow only $0.23 a piece (not too shabby).  If you are a shimmer, glitter, bling lover like myself this is a run don't walk situation. This palette has a full array of pigmented colors in all shades from neutral to the very bright and bold and everything in between.  Each shade is a glitter, frost, or shimmer. The shadows are creamy and blend like a dream.  They are very high quality and soft, so a little bit goes a long way with these.  I wasn't expecting that so I made a little fallout with my swatches, just note a softer hand is all you need for these amazing shadows.  The palette comes in the shiny palette packaging that all 88 palettes come in, with it's huge mirror and two spongetip applicators.

Here are some swatches taken throughout the palette.

Prom Queen

Hello beautiful readers as summer approaches that means most of the school year is coming to an end. For many the anticipation of summer is just so exciting. For the Seniors it is so much more. There is the College acceptances, ring exchanges and ceremonies , and won of the most festive moments Prom.

What excuse does a girl really need to wear a gorgeous puffy dress, glitter and maybe even a tiara!

Today we will be doing a fun and sparkly look for any girl that isn't afraid to stand out from he crowd and anxiously awaits to be given that special title of Prom Queen!

We will be using the 120 Pro Palette 2nd Edition some of the awesome makeup brushes , glitter and false lashes.

The colors we will be using today have been marked for you to follow

We will begin by priming the entire eye with an eyeshadow primer to help with the color pay off and wear of the colors. This is an important even we don't want any fading or creasing in the eye area.

Using your #863 brush we will use a combination of these to shades and go into the crease and blend to create a transitional color.

We want to blend this into the crease very well.

Next with this light purple shade we will go to the outer "V" and  slightly below where we applied the other 2 shades  and blend using the #407

At this point we want a little more depth and pop so we will darken slightly below the lighter purple shade we applied preciously and the outer "V"again as well.

We want to take that darker shade and line the lower lash line as well.

Next we will use this frosty pink shade on the remaining inner 1/3 of the eye that hasn't had any color applied.

Now when working with glitter there are plenty of adhesives and products on the market to help with application.

Now for the Fun Part! If you have some lash glue handy take a small amount and you can either apply it to the lid then apply the glitter, or make a "paste' like consistency and apply it that way as well.

Now a couple of things when using glitter. We want to pat it onto the lid not swipe it like an eyeshadow. It will clump and give you gaps with skin peeking through and will be a complete mess once adhesive has dried.

When using glitter be very careful to not get any of the granules of glitter in the EYE OUCH!!!!

Wait until the glitter is completely applied to the section of the eye you are working with. Try your best to not close your eye or blink until it has completely dried otherwise you will get some flaking and what not.

Apply a full set of lashes to complete your look and line your waterline with blackout eyeliner gel

Apply your favorite foundation with FB07 and a rosy blush to the cheeks.

Be sure to highlight and contour those cheeks as well to look completely flawless in your Prom Pictures!
